CHIPSZ
Augmented reality action game
Project length: 5 months
Platforms: Microsoft HoloLens 2
Technologies: C#, Stereokit, HLSL, Git, GitHub Actions
What I did: I worked with 8 Computer Science students and 2 mentors at Havok to design, develop, and release a game for the HoloLens 2. I was in charge of the core gameplay loop, which was tweaked and refined through both use of an AR simulator and regular testing with the target hardware. To make the projectiles used in the game feel tangible, I created custom shaders using HLSL. I also taught C#, Git, object-oriented programming, and agile development practices to team members. The project was nominated for the Software Engineering Project Industry Award at Trinity College Dublin.
